Whether you’re planning a Thanksgiving activity for middle school students, printing a Thanksgiving meal menu, or creating thoughtful notes in the spirit of Thanksgiving, there’s a border for you here.

Free printable Thanksgiving borders

These free Thanksgiving border printables include a variety of Thanksgiving images including fall leaves, pumpkins, pilgrim hats, pumpkin pie (my most favorite–yum), harvest food, and of course turkeys (can’t leave out the star of Thanksgiving dinner).

The different designs are full of fall colors and have a white background for easy printing (yay for saving ink!).

There’s a Happy Thanksgiving border in there (two, actually), which makes a great stationery template to write letters on or even your Thanksgiving shopping list. You could even print your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving invitations on one of the borders–there are plenty of elegant frames, as well as casual and fun, depending on the mood you’re going for.

If you’re a teacher, you’re welcome to use any of these page border designs. They’re awesome for lesson plans, binder covers, Thanksgiving projects, and creative writing assignments.

How to use these free printable page borders

Each printable border is available as its own PDF file, so all you have to do is click the image of the design you like and the file will open in a new tab, ready to download or print. No zip file or complicated downloads! I don’t even ask you for your email address before offering freebies–you’re welcome!

To download the file and save to your computer for future use, click the download button at the top of the tab that opens containing the file (the image of an arrow pointing down). The download will most likely go into your downloads folder on your computer and you can access it from there or move to another location. Or, if you just want to print the file from the browser tab that opens, click the printer icon.

If you want to customize the digital papers before printing, you’re in luck! You can open the PDF document in a program like Adobe Acrobat to add text or tweak it for your needs. If that sounds a little too complicated (no worries!) or you’re using another program like Microsoft Word, you can also pre-print the Thanksgiving border frame you want to use, then run the paper through your printer again to print your document onto it. Super easy!

These printable page borders are designed for standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper size (US letter size). I’m sure you can print on other size paper, but I haven’t tried it so use your printer dialog settings to size it correctly and do a test print first. (Using system dialog should give you a preview of the print image, too.)

For best results, print on white printer paper or cardstock (though some of the Thanksgiving border images would also look great on a cream paper or even kraft paper). Be sure to select borderless printing so the designed border prints all the way to the edge. You can also send the files to a professional print shop if you need high quality prints.
